Facility

The DALSA facility is currently housed by DTU Construct at the DTU Kgs. Lyngby Campus (building 413), and staffed by experts from DTU Bioengineering, DTU Construct, and DTU Electro.

The current setup is focused on supporting interdisciplinary projects within: 

  • Automation technology development, such as methods for connecting robotics units (integration and scheduling) and developing new hardware such as robotics arms and new HT sensor types. 
  •  Cell-free workflow development, e.g. robotic workflows involving DNA and proteins.

The facility does currently NOT support work with Genetically Modified Organisms. 

 

Luckily, much of the equipment in the Proto-DALSA facility has a twin in the GMO certified laboratories at DTU Bioengineering. 

 

The fully developed DALSA facility will allow for both GMO and non-GMO projects.
